White matter disease (WMD) findings on MR or CT represent a variety of pathologic processes that have affected the white matter of the brain and/or spinal cord. Due to the wide variety of disorders that the condition comprises, the clinical presentation of WMD demonstrates overlap, particularly in MR findings, and the authors in this article present the more common clinical and imaging manifestations on cross-sectional imaging to aid in the classification and diagnosis of demyelinating WMD entities.
