Nycomed Amersham is pleased to continue its long tradition of
providing medical education opportunities in Interventional
Radiology. This year represents the fourth year for the Nycomed
Amersham/SCVIR Fellows Program and the second year that an
educational stipend for the two best presented papers has been
The focus has always been to provide fellows in Interventional
Radiology with an opportunity to attend focused clinical meetings
that will enhance their knowledge of new diagnostic and therapeutic
procedures. Additionally, the program allows each fellow an
opportunity to research a specific topic of critical interest to
them and report on their findings in this special supplement to
We congratulate Peter J. Bromley, MD, Dotter Interventional
Institute, Oregon Health Sciences University, Portland, OR (OHSU),
on his paper entitled, "A brief history of abdominal aortic
endografting," which was judged the best presented. We also
congratulate the runner-up, Jeremy R. Simon, MD, Emory University
