The International Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM) Editorial Review Board has selected Candace Howard-Claudio, MD, PhD as the seventh recipient of the ISMRM/GE Healthcare MRI Fellowship. This fellowship was funded by a grant from GE Healthcare and is administered by Applied Radiology. The ISMRM/GE Healthcare MRI Fellowship Program is designed to provide an educational opportunity to radiology residents in the United States. Residents were nominated by the directors of their residency programs and were funded to attend the 12th Scientific Meeting & Exhibition of the ISMRM in May 2004 in Kyoto, Japan. These residents were assigned topics by the ISMRM Editorial Review Board and were asked to write current review articles focusing on specific MRI applications, based on material from the ISMRM annual meeting and published literature.

This year's winner, Dr. Howard-Claudio, is a Resident at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. This supplement, The Residents' Forum, includes Dr. Howard-Claudio's article entitled, "MRI Methods for the Detection of Angiogenesis," as well as the nine excellent manuscripts submitted by the other resident applicants.

Dr. Howard-Claudio has written an excellent article on a very timely topic. She and the other residents have provided superb contributions to this supplement. The ISMRM is delighted to be a cosponsor of this program with GE Healthcare and Applied Radiology.
