Summary:
Following this ultrasound examination the diagnosis of in utero testicular torsion was made. The patient was taken to the OR the next morning where the left testicle was found to be necrotic consistent with remote torsion. The contralateral testes was normal.
Q. Given the above imaging findings the patient needs to:
be staged for lymphoma
be taken to the OR immediately for testicular salvage
be taken to the OR soon to evaluate the right testis
begin antibiotic therapy
