Solutions in Ultrasound Imaging

The clinical applications of ultrasound continue to expand. With improvements in sonographic technology and developments of higher resolution systems and complex programming features, ultrasound is becoming increasingly vital to diagnostic imaging.

The articles in this supplement present how expert physicians use ultrasound for a wide variety of clinical situations, including: gynecologic patients, musculoskeletal imaging, breast ultrasound, Doppler imaging, contrast harmonic ultrasound, contrast-enhanced ultrasound-guided procedures, intracardiac imaging, and echocardiography. In addition to these clinical topics, other authors address important issues relevant to ultrasound implementation including ergonomic protections and the transition to digital image processing and storage.
