The 24th Annual Scientific Session of the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions (SCA&I), held in Houston, Texas, May 16-19, 2001, again featured a broad range of topics and the latest developments in interventional cardiology. Once again, the SCA&I is indebted to the enthusiasm and support of Amersham Health. By giving interventional fellows the opportunity to attend these sessions, Amersham Health is providing a great service. Therefore, it is with a sense of pride and accomplishment that we present, in return, these views and reviews that capture the content and spirit of the meeting. The seven fellows nominated by their program directors who contributed to this monograph are a credit to their respective programs. We wish them all the best in their new careers. It is agreed after reading these articles in this year's issue of Applications in Imaging--Cardiac Interventions that each fellow is well prepared.
