Abstract:  Recent advances in the implementation and understanding of three dimensional 3D contrast magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) are making vascular imaging throughout the body safer and more accurate. This article is intended to describe the basic principles behind 3D contrast MRA and demonstrate how to apply this technique to multiple vascular territories with emphasis on abdominal applications.
