Abstract:  The ingestion of foreign bodies by children is a relatively common occurrence, with coins representing the foreign body most frequently encountered. The authors show the necessity of obtaining both frontal and lateral views of the esophagus when evaluating children for ingested conis and the importance of learning the signs of multiple coin ingestion as they appear on the frontal film.
