Abstract:
37-year-old woman with a history of asthma and
chronic cough presented with new progressive wheezing and
shortness of breath.
Thoracic CT scan demonstrated a paratracheal mass with a
narrowing of the distal trachea and proximal main stem
bronchi.
Bronchoscopy demonstrated occlusion of the main stem
bronchi due to extrinsic compression and an endobronchial
polypoid lesion.
A PET/CT scan revealed hypermetabolic paratracheal and
peribronchial masses with no distant metastasis.
