This article describes the clinical presentation, epidemiology, and imaging findings of five GI emergencies that require surgical intervention: Malrotation and midgut volvulus; intussusception; hypertrophic pyloric stenosis; appendicitis; and Meckel’s diverticulum. Radiologists are at the critical front line of diagnosis for surgical decision making and also have a vital therapeutic role in cases of intussusception.</description><author></author><pubDate>Monday, 04 Apr 2005 15:30:49 GMT</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
