Several new imaging techniques are particularly useful in the spine and may become a central part of the imaging evaluation of spine pathology. Intrathecal myelography, kinematic MRI, perfusion and diffusion imaging, and "Ultrafast MRI" are techniques that may revolutionize the way we evaluate the spine by not only better depicting known pathologic disorders but likely shedding new light on disorders we currently do not fully understand.
