Computed tomographic angiography (CTA) and magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) are particularly appealing due to their low morbidity and comprehensiveness. The main goal of this article is to clarify the role of CTA and MRA in the evaluation of intracranial vascular disease by discussing the relative strengths and weaknesses of both techniques in the context of specific neurovascular disorders.
