The next day she presented to the Emergency Department with lower back pain. On physical examination she had signs of a peripheral neuropathy. A CT scan of the lumbar spine revealed degenerative changes in the spine and excluded a fracture. A CT scan of the abdomen and pelvis was also perfomred to assess for any injury.
