 Novartis Oncology, Basel, Switzerland) therapy from 2003 to 2005 
presented with a 3 cm to 4 cm area of exposed, necrotic appearing bone 
in the right maxilla following a tooth extraction in 2005 (Figure 1). A biopsy was not performed; however, clinical suspicion strongly ruled 
out metastatic involvement, and findings have remained stable since the 
patient was administered oral antibiotic and oral antimicrobial rinse
