diseases, including deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolus (PE), the
annual incidence of which often results in hospitalization or even death.
Although systemic anticoagulation therapy remains the initial and most
effective treatment, inferior vena cava filters play a pivotal role in
preventative management in patients with established DVT and or PE, as well in
