Traditionally, catheter angiography has been used to evaluate the coronary arteries and their anomalies, yet cardiac computed tomography (CT) has emerged as the test of choice as it is less invasive than catheter angiography and not as complex to administer as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). In this article, the author reviews the spectrum of coronary artery anomalies as seen using multidetector CT with an emphasis on hemodynamically significant anomalies.
