associated with nontraumatic acute abdominal pain, and is one of the top 5
diagnoses involved in emergency room (ER) malpractice claims. In this article,
the authors identify the effective use of multidetector computed tomography
(MDCT) for excluding appendicitis and the negative appendectomy.
