Exact Imaging receives CE Mark for new transperineal needle guide

Exact Imaging of Toronto, Ontario, has received CE Mark approval for a new Sterile Transperineal Needle Guide for use with the ExactVu™ EV29L transducer. The company states that the Sterile Transperineal Needle Guide allows urologists to perform targeted prostate biopsies that leverage the near microscopic resolution of the micro-ultrasound system.

With its very high real-time resolution for guidance of prostate biopsies, the ExactVu system is now able to be used in clinical settings. Targeted transperineal biopsies guided by ExactVu 29 MHz micro-ultrasound enables real-time target volume imaging in a physician’s office.
