Fujifilm Demonstrates AI Powering Enterprise Imaging

As an end-to-end partner for healthcare providers, FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc. continues to accelerate innovation with new advancements in artificial intelligence, DR technologies and enterprise imaging systems.

The company is presenting the REiLI a work in progress not commercially available in the United States, the company's global Medical Imaging and Informatics Artificial Intelligence technology initiative. Under the REiLI brand, Fujifilm is developing AI technologies that strongly support diagnostic imaging workflow, leveraging the combination of deep learning in its AI technology with Fujifilm's image processing heritage.

“In releasing the REiLI platform, Fujifilm is continuing our leadership role in AI and AI education. We are working collaboratively with industry leaders to provide the best algorithms to support radiologists in processing images,” said Johann Fernando, Ph.D., Chief Operating Officer of FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc. “The ReiLI AI platform demonstrates how we’re working with our key affiliate leaders and industry partners in designing the future of radiology workflow using big data to support clinical decisions.”

Attendees can visit Fujifilm's in-booth AI Lab, which features dedicated workstations demonstrating AI platform use cases within Synapse 5 server-side PACS system driven by REiLI. “This dedicated AI lab features how the AI workflow is used, and how the REiLI platform can help improve diagnostic workflow,” said Fernando.

The company is premiering several new image processing and software advancements for its digital mammography system, ASPIRE Cristalle. The full suite of advancements designed to enhance clinical imaging while lowering dose includes S-View (not commercially available in the United States), which enables radiologists to view a synthesized 2D image reconstructed from DBT. Other features include Iterative Super Resolution (ISR), Tomosynthesis Biopsy, Tomosynthesis Spot, Breast Density Measurement and Comfort Comp (not commercially available in the United States).

“We’re adding these technology improvements to our Cristalle platform to make it a stronger tool for radiologists to enhance their digital mammography capabilities,” said Fernando.
