Ikonopedia introduces breast ultrasound reporting module at SBI

Ikonopedia, designer of a structured breast reporting and MQSA management system, introduced its next generation breast ultrasound reporting module at the 2018 Society of Breast Imaging/American College of Radiology Breast Imaging Symposium held in Las Vegas in April.

The new module is designed to streamline reporting for both screening and diagnostic exams acquired with both conventional and automated breast ultrasound (ABUS) systems. The company stated that it guides breast imagers through their interpretation process with a lesion locator tool designed specifically for breast ultrasound exams. Ikonopedia said that the module leverages its proprietary reporting interface and lesion locator. Reports are BI-RADS® language compliant and current with the Atlas 5th Edition.

As with its other products, all findings are saved as discreet data. This enables Ikonopedia to prevent errors, maintain BI-RADS-compliant language, and automate many processes. An icon-based structured report automatically

Ikonopedia users also have access to a web-based version of the Tyrer-Cuzick Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Tool, designed to inform patients about their lifetime risk of developing breast cancer.
