ABAIR Names Executive Advisory Board of Directors

The American Board of Artificial Intelligence (ABAIR) has announced the appointment of seven executive advisory board of directors to guide the development and growth of the organization. ABAIR was formed to help hospital-based and private radiology department administrators and technologists further their knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) applications in medical imaging.

The appointments include:

  • Aashim Bhatia, MD, MS, assistant professor of radiology at Perelman School of Medicine and pediatric neuroradiologist at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, both in Philadelphia, PA
  • Nick Bryan, MD, PhD, emeritus professor of radiology, Perelman School of Medicine, Philadelphia, Pa
  • Joseph Fay, MSM, RT(R)(CT), clinical director, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA
  • Ari Goldberg, MD, PhD, medical director, body imaging, and medical director, MRI, Loyola University Medical Center, Maywood, IL
  • Enrico Rick Perez, emeritus director of imaging, NYU Winthrop University, New York City, New York
  • Jacqui Rose MBA, CRA, FAHRA, operational director, Premier Health Partners, Dayton, OH
  • Fran Glick, administrative director imaging services emeritus, Mariners Hospital, Baptist Health South Florida, Tavernier, FL
  • Di Lacey, Assistant Vice President, Western University of Health Sciences, Oregon Campus, Lebanon, OR

“We are excited to have such a high-level mix of industry individuals on the ABAIR board,” said Tom McLaughlin, RT, MBA, founding member of ABAIR. 

“Having both radiology Administrators and radiologists will help us “stay the course” to execute a great course for the meeting attendees,” agreed Matt Wilson Founding member of ABAIR.

The ABAIR (Ai for Radiology Administrators and Technologists) is a comprehensive two-day course developed by a team of experts within the AI space. The primary focus of this course is to empower radiology personnel to evaluate AI tools and technology for their department.

“There is no doubt that the world of AI is coming to radiology at a rapid pace. This board will help us shape the course now and for the future,” said Orest Boyko, founding member of ABAIR.
