RSNA 2017: FUJIFILM introduces a DR/point-of-care US and healthcare IT pediatric portfolio

FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A. and FUJIFILM SonoSite have introduced a comprehensive pediatric imaging solutions portfolio consisting of digital radiography systems, point-of-care ultrasound system, and pediatric-focused healthcare IT solutions. They are demonstrating the portfolio in a dedicated display at Booth 4111 South Hall.

This pediatric portfolio is designed to combat challenges associated with pediatric imaging, such as minimizing dose exposure, increasing speed of image acquisition, helping improve infection controls, and reducing patient anxiety associated with exams. The companies said that its suit of products address challenges of pediatric imaging by ensuring safety, advanced precision, enhanced comfort, and trusted protection of data.

Products in the pediatric portfolio include:

  • FDR AQRO - This portable digital X-ray system is designed with a focus on low dose and excellent maneuverability in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) or a pediatric intensive care unit (PICU). Fujifilm’s Hydro AG Antibacterial Coating is included on the primary surfaces of the FDR AQRO to provide an added infection-prevention safety measure.

  • FDR D-EVO II Csl - These DR detectors have a Hydro AG Antibacterial coating. WIth patented Irradiated Side Sampling technology, the FDR D EVO II can deliver images with as much as 20% greater dose efficiency than traditional detectors.

  • FDR D-EVO GL - This single exposure long length single DR detector solution offers a lower dose compared to computed radiography detectors and even lower dose with use of Virtual Grid software.

  • FDR Go PLUSversion Digital X-ray System - This portable system is compact, quiet, and has a new collapsible column for safe navigation of tightly confined spaces. It is available with child-friendly graphic decals.

  • SonoSite X-Porte - The X-Porte point-of-care ultrasound system has proprietary beam forming technology called XDI™ (Extreme Definition Imaging). XDI technology allows for enhanced image quality, reduction in artifact clutter, and enhanced contrast resolution.

  • Vevo®MD - An ultra high frequency ultrasound system, the Vevo®MD has transducers designed for infants and small patients that are designed to help visualize tiny anatomy not visible with conventional ultrasound. The system delivers the highest resolution possible in medical ultrasound when imaging the first 3 cm of the body.
