Bracco, Canon to Spotlight Expanding Role of Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasound at ECR 2026
March 4, 2026 · News Release
Bracco Imaging S.P.A. will co-host a scientific symposium with Canon Medical Systems Europe B.V. during the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) 2026 in Vienna, highlighting the evolving role of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) in modern radiology practice.
The session, titled “Advancing CEUS in Radiology: Clinical Innovations, Faster Pathways, Higher Efficiency,” will examine how CEUS is increasingly being used in radiology departments across Europe to improve diagnostic performance, accelerate clinical workflows and enhance patient outcomes while supporting healthcare system efficiency.
Co-organized by Bracco Imaging and Canon Medical Systems Europe, the event will bring together clinical experts to share real-world experience on integrating CEUS into routine radiology practice. Presentations will focus on how the technology can support faster, high-quality diagnosis, streamline clinical decision-making and improve operational efficiency in imaging services.
The session will be moderated by Prof. Adrian Lim (UK) and feature presentations from Prof. Thomas Fischer (Germany) and Prof. Maija Radzina (Latvia). Speakers will discuss recent clinical developments and practical approaches for incorporating CEUS into daily workflows, as well as its role in enabling rapid diagnostic assessment.
“It is exciting to see continued momentum around Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasound and its expanding role in clinical practice,” said Luca Frazzoli, Global Ultrasound Modality Director, Bracco Imaging. “By bringing together clinical expertise and technological innovation at forums such as ECR, we can help support meaningful advancements in diagnostic imaging that benefit both healthcare professionals and patients.”
