Bracco Launches AiMIFY in EU and Expands AI Collaborations

During the 2026 European Congress of Radiology, Bracco Imaging S.p.A., a prominent name in diagnostic imaging, announced key advancements in their AI and Digital Health initiatives. The company has introduced its AI-powered software, AiMIFY®, to the European Union market and established a partnership with Avicenna.AI for further AI development.

AiMIFY®, developed in collaboration with Subtle Medical, Inc., is a software solution designed to enhance brain MR images using artificial intelligence. By intensifying contrast in images obtained after administering a gadolinium-based contrast agent, AiMIFY® enables more detailed visualization of brain lesions, which aids radiologists and neuroradiologists in making more confident assessments without altering existing imaging protocols.

Ajit Shankaranarayanan, Chief Product Officer at Subtle Medical, emphasized the significance of AiMIFY®'s European introduction. "The European launch in collaboration with Bracco marks an important milestone in expanding access to AI-enhanced MRI globally," he remarked.

In conjunction with AiMIFY®'s EU debut, Bracco has partnered with Avicenna.AI to innovate applications for contrast-enhanced CT scans. This collaboration aims to develop computer-aided detection and diagnostic solutions for brain CT angiography, with efforts currently focused on development and validation in selected areas in the US and Europe. Regulatory submission to the FDA for these AI solutions is anticipated in late 2026.

AiMIFY® and the collaboration with Avicenna.AI underscore Bracco's commitment to innovation beyond traditional contrast agents, ensuring radiologists receive robust AI support from scanning to diagnosis.
