DeepSight Technology Launches NeedleVue Platform at SIR 2026

DeepSight Technology has introduced its new NeedleVue platform at the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) 2026 Annual Meeting in Toronto. The platform represents an advancement in precision ultrasound-guided interventions, aiming to broaden access and applications across diverse clinical settings.

The NeedleVue platform includes several offerings:

  1. NeedleVue LiteCart: This standalone interventional ultrasound system is designed for real-time visualization of instrument tips, enhancing workflow efficiency.
  2. NeedleVue Embedded (NVE): An OEM-integrated solution that allows medical technology partners to incorporate the NeedleVue capabilities directly into their platforms.
  3. NeedleVue Mini: A newly unveiled compact, system-agnostic solution that can be attached to existing ultrasound systems, providing advanced guidance capabilities.

Central to these solutions is the proprietary DeepSight sensor, which is approximately 50 microns in size. This sensor, embedded at the tip of interventional instruments, allows passive detection of ultrasound signals, facilitating accurate real-time tip localization across various angles and depths in challenging conditions.

Nader Sadrzadeh, CEO of DeepSight Technology, emphasized the importance of this platform-oriented approach in bridging the gap for clinicians and partners. "We are moving beyond developing a single product to a platform strategy that meets clinicians and partners where they are—whether through a dedicated system, seamless OEM integration, or a simple add-on to existing ultrasound equipment. Our mission is to deliver precision, clarity, and confidence in every procedure and for every patient."

Initially focusing on ultrasound-guided abdominal biopsies, the NeedleVue platform is intended for expansion into other interventional procedures, including oncology and vascular applications. Live demonstrations and discussions at SIR 2026 will feature these advancements in sensor-enabled instruments for image-guided care.

DeepSight Technology is leading the way in redefining interventional imaging through its sensor-enabled ultrasound solutions. By integrating its proprietary technology into medical instruments, DeepSight aims to provide real-time, precise visualization and tracking, improving the safety and efficiency of procedures.

Currently, the NeedleVue LC1 Ultrasound System holds FDA clearance for use within the United States. Other platforms within the DeepSight portfolio have not yet been reviewed or authorized for marketing by any regulatory agencies.
