Fujifilm Highlights AI-Powered Enterprise Imaging Solutions at HIMSS 2026
March 5, 2026 · News Release

Fujifilm Healthcare Americas Corporation is set to present its latest AI-driven enterprise imaging solutions at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) 2026 conference (March 9-12) in Las Vegas. These solutions are designed to streamline imaging workflows within healthcare systems, thereby facilitating faster patient throughput, reducing administrative burdens, and supporting personalized care.
Bill Lacy, the senior vice president of medical informatics at Fujifilm Healthcare Americas Corporation, emphasized the significant impact of AI when integrated into clinical workflows. According to Lacy, “AI delivers exceptional impact in medical informatics when it’s seamlessly embedded into the clinical workflows.” The company plans to demonstrate its Synapse enterprise imaging portfolio, which enhances radiologist efficiency and operational workflows without compromising patient care.
Key technologies on display will include the Synapse AI Orchestrator and Synapse Worklist Orchestrator. The Synapse AI Orchestrator is an open imaging workflow system that integrates seamlessly with Fujifilm's Synapse Enterprise PACS. This engine allows healthcare IT staff to manage multiple AI applications across various clinical workflows, facilitating true interoperability.
The Synapse Worklist Orchestrator, on the other hand, revolutionizes workload balancing and the orchestration of worklists, transforming how studies are assigned and interpreted. Using AI-powered learning models, this solution adapts to complex enterprise workflows, ensuring equitable assignment across subspecialists if desired. It supports specialties such as radiology, cardiology, and pathology.
Fujifilm will also introduce Synapse One, a workflow solution tailored for outpatient imaging needs in North America.
In addition, Dr. Mohit Naik, President of Hackensack Radiology Group, remarked on the necessity of these solutions in today’s healthcare environment, emphasizing their role in managing increasing medical volumes and addressing challenges like clinician burnout and staffing shortages. “Given the challenges groups face today—explosive volumes, rampant burnout, and severe staffing shortages—I genuinely cannot fathom how any practice survives without leveraging this type of solution.”
