January 23, 2026 · News Release

FUJIFILM Healthcare Americas Corporation has unveiled new intelligent automation features for the FDR Visionary Suite, an advanced digital radiography system catering to hospital radiology departments and imaging centers. These enhancements are designed to streamline workflow processes and improve patient and technologist experiences across various general radiology examinations.
Among the notable advancements is the Intelligent Camera Assist, incorporating live imaging from the control room and providing positioning guidance via the suite's collimator. This feature aims to heighten accuracy and decrease the need for retakes by offering optional motion detection. Furthermore, the SpeedLink™ function automates the setup of preferred techniques, optimizing dose-saving methods and collimation field dimensions for selected exams. With automated overlays and pre-exposure motion detection alerts, the FDR Visionary Suite assists technologists in minimizing repeat exposures.
The suite is also focused on patient comfort, accommodating individuals with diverse body sizes and mobility challenges. It includes a motorized tabletop with stroke adjustments and a capacity of 649 lbs. Additionally, the system can capture long-format images up to 63 inches upright and 47 inches supine, with automatic motion correction enhancing image quality. Image acquisition can be completed in as little as 20 seconds, enhancing the patient experience.
"The advanced features and automation of FDR Visionary Suite are crafted for both superior performance and exceptional patient care," commented Rob Fabrizio, director of strategic marketing at FUJIFILM Healthcare Americas Corporation. "The system's efficiency and accuracy empower radiographers to prioritize patient care while expediting diagnosis and treatment."
Equipped with Fujifilm’s latest DR detectors, known for ultra-low dose and high-quality imaging, the suite utilizes cesium iodide combined with Fujifilm's proprietary Irradiation Side Sampling (ISS) technology. The suite's FDX Console, featuring Dynamic Visualization intelligent processing, automatically optimizes image processing based on identified characteristics within the exposure field, thus enhancing diagnostic confidence.
With these advancements, the FDR Visionary Suite is available in the United States, underscoring Fujifilm's commitment to leveraging its technological expertise to provide innovative solutions in the realm of medical imaging. For further information, the product page is accessible online.
