GuideAI Health Achieves FDA Clearance for AI-Based Vascular Triage Software
June 22, 2026 · News Release

GuideAI Health Corp. has received FDA 510(k) clearance for its artificial intelligence software, VascularAssist Occlusion Triage (VAOT), which is designed to enhance the identification and prioritization of peripheral vascular disease (PVD) in lower-extremity CT scans. VAOT serves as a Computer-Aided Triage and Notification device to integrate seamlessly with existing imaging workflows, helping radiologists swiftly flag and review potential cases of vascular occlusion.
Classified as a Class II Software as a Medical Device (SaMD), VAOT aims to assist clinical teams by prioritizing patients at risk of acute or chronic limb ischemia, thereby potentially reducing the time to diagnosis and intervention. During clinical performance evaluations, the software demonstrated robust accuracy, achieving a patient-level sensitivity of 95% for 2D analysis and 94% for 3D analysis in identifying patients with Peripheral Artery Disease who have at least one lesion with stenosis of 50% or greater.
Raj Shah, MD, MBA, CEO of GuideAI Health, remarked that the FDA clearance is a significant achievement for the company, aligning with their patient-centric mission. "Peripheral vascular disease is too often missed or detected late, with devastating consequences. VAOT brings AI-powered triage directly into the radiology workflow, helping clinicians identify vascular disease sooner so patients can be directed to the right care faster," he stated.
GuideAI Health Corp. specializes in healthcare technologies leveraging AI for early detection of vascular conditions. Their platform is designed to analyze routine CT scans to uncover peripheral vascular disease and similar conditions that are often overlooked, providing comprehensive and actionable reports for radiologists and clinicians. By identifying these conditions earlier and aligning them with suitable treatment pathways, GuideAI hopes to enhance patient care and outcomes.
