Konica Minolta and deepc Partner to Bring Seamless, Practical AI to Radiology Workflows
January 14, 2026 · News Release

Konica Minolta Healthcare Americas, Inc. and deepc have announced a new collaboration that will integrate deepc’s AI operating system, deepcOS®, with Konica Minolta’s Exa® Platform. The partnership is intended to support more efficient, AI-enabled workflows across radiology departments in North America and other global markets.
The Exa Platform—comprising PACS, RIS, Enterprise, and Teleradiology components—will connect with deepcOS® to provide hospitals and imaging centers with access to a library of validated, regulatory-cleared AI tools directly within their existing workflows. According to the companies, the integration eliminates the need for separate applications or custom IT projects and supports secure, cloud-native deployment designed to streamline adoption.
The joint offering aims to address common barriers to AI integration in radiology, including workflow disruptions and unclear value delivery, while also offering potential benefits such as reduced reading times and increased diagnostic confidence.
“At deepc, we focus on what happens after AI reaches the clinic,” said Alex King, Chief Revenue Officer at deepc. “By joining forces with Konica Minolta, we can bring validated, ready-to-use AI directly to Konica Minolta customers. Together, we are giving radiology teams the confidence to work smarter and the freedom to focus on what matters most: the patient in front of them.”
Konica Minolta’s Exa Platform offers a browser-based user interface, zero-footprint viewer, and a single database design that supports multiple workflows. With the addition of deepcOS®, customers will be able to deploy multiple AI solutions from different vendors through a unified system, designed to be scalable and adaptable to different clinical environments.
“Our Healthcare IT AI strategy is to provide our customers with a single source and single platform to utilize the power of AI-enabled insights,” said Kevin Chlopecki, Chief Operating Officer of Konica Minolta HCIT. "We’re thrilled to partner with deepc to bring the value of an integrated AI platform to our shared customers.”
The companies emphasized that the combined solution is designed to support hospitals and imaging centers in addressing growing imaging volumes and staff shortages by providing practical, workflow-embedded tools. According to the announcement, the AI insights generated through deepcOS® will be displayed within the Exa viewer to support clinical decision-making during image interpretation.
Konica Minolta and deepc stated that the partnership reflects a broader trend in healthcare technology, emphasizing interoperability, scalability, and clinician-focused design. The integration is expected to be available to Exa users beginning in 2026.
