Mindray Launches Advanced Hepatus-Series Ultrasound Systems for Gastroenterology

Mindray, a prominent leader in healthcare technology, has announced the release of its enhanced Hepatus-Series Ultrasound Systems, designed to advance imaging capabilities in gastroenterology. The innovative series includes the Hepatus 6, a comprehensive imaging solution for gastroenterology, and the Hepatus 5, a dedicated platform for liver assessments. These systems integrate high-resolution diagnostic ultrasound with Visualized Transient Elastography, allowing for quantitative stiffness measurements that benefit precise liver, bowel, and spleen evaluations.

Maher Elhihi, Vice President of Imaging Marketing & Corporate Communications at Mindray North America, emphasized the groundbreaking nature of the Hepatus-Series. "The Hepatus-Series is truly leading the evolution of gastroenterology imaging by uniting unmatched precision with the versatility practitioners need today," said Elhihi. He noted that the series enhances diagnostic confidence and enables clinicians to broaden their service offerings, supported by a robust enterprise-grade data infrastructure.

The Hepatus 5 and 6 systems introduce Q-Scan Intelligent Acquisition, an AI-powered feature that captures multiple valid measurements efficiently in one workflow. This reduces variability and ensures consistent image quality through real-time feedback on probe pressure and respiratory motion stability, facilitated by the integrated Quality Control Index.

The systems are designed to support structured data capture, secure file transfers, and network sharing, making them suitable for both advanced research and clinical operations. With these capabilities, practices can ensure repeatable exams that improve long-term diagnostic reliability.

To maintain cutting-edge performance, the Hepatus-Series offers a five-year warranty on the Hepatus 6 and a three-year warranty on the Hepatus 5. The systems also feature a Living Technology™ software upgrade pathway, ensuring they remain at the forefront of imaging technology throughout their operational life.
