Prenuvo Introduces Research Network to Analyze Disease Patterns using Whole-Body MRI
September 29, 2026 · News Release

Prenuvo has initiated the Prenuvo Research Network, an endeavor aimed at supporting proactive healthcare through the use of whole-body MRI screening. This initiative involves collaboration between Prenuvo's AI tools, internal R&D department, scientists, and academic institutions to advance evidence-based preventive medicine.
Central to the Network’s research efforts is the Prenuvo Imaging Biobank. This proprietary database contains over 200,000 high-quality whole-body MRI scans obtained through standardized protocols and equipment, comprising the largest dataset of its kind. It enables researchers to examine disease patterns well before clinical symptoms manifest, potentially offering insights into the early development of conditions such as cardiovascular diseases, cancer, metabolic disorders, and neurodegenerative diseases.
Initial collaborators working with the Network span more than 50 institutions, including City of Hope, UCSF, and Moffitt Cancer Center. Unlike conventional academic research, which is often restricted by limited grant cycles and focus areas, the Network promotes a collaborative, clinical focus on real-world medical inquiries under Prenuvo’s Medical Affairs and AI Research organization.
Notable researchers participating in this initiative include Avi Baskin, MD; Pinchas Cohen, MD; Bruno Hochhegger, MD, PhD; and others. This endeavor builds on Prenuvo’s existing research portfolio, including studies like Hercules and Polaris, which evaluate the effectiveness of whole-body MRI in early disease detection. All research complies with ethical standards, patient safety, data integrity, and regulatory requirements.
Dr. Alex Exuzides, VP and Head of Research & Medical Affairs at Prenuvo, stated, “The Prenuvo Research Network is designed to generate high-quality, real-world evidence on the role of whole-body MRI in clinical care. Our goal is to build a strong evidence base for proactive, preventive healthcare through collaborative, clinically grounded research." Dr. Cyrus Raji, Associate Professor of Radiology at Washington University, emphasized the importance of high-quality research databases for advancing understanding of neurological disorders.
Among the initial studies launched, significant focus areas include pulmonary, mediastinal, brain, and renal findings from whole-body MRI screenings. These studies highlight the potential of MRI to detect clinically significant conditions and call for further investigation into their clinical implications.
The Prenuvo Research Network operates numerous studies examining the clinical utility of whole-body MRI, generating insights across health and aging. The Network partners with experts from academic, healthcare, and technology sectors to collectively move towards transforming reactive healthcare into a proactive model.
