Spectrum Dynamics Receives FDA Clearance for Veritas.AI Noise Reduction Platform

Spectrum Dynamics Medical, a global leader in digital nuclear medicine imaging solutions, has announced that it has received FDA 510(k) clearance for Veritas.AI™ Noise Reduction, an advanced artificial intelligence platform designed to enhance image quality, boost diagnostic confidence, and improve operational efficiency on the company’s VERITON-CT® digital SPECT/CT system.

Veritas.AI introduces a major leap forward in molecular imaging by applying a deep learning convolutional neural network to intelligently reduce image noise while preserving spatial resolution and quantitative accuracy. Clinically validated across a range of imaging applications and tracers—including bone imaging, Lu-177 theranostics, and I-123 MIBG—the technology is optimized for some of the most demanding conditions encountered in nuclear medicine.

The AI platform can reduce scanning times by up to 50%, enabling clinicians to deliver high-quality imaging results even under low-count or high-noise conditions. This capability not only supports diagnostic accuracy but also enhances patient comfort and helps increase throughput across imaging departments. Veritas.AI operates effectively across various imaging contexts, from standard diagnostic protocols to delayed post-therapy imaging, without compromising consistency or quality.

The Veritas.AI Noise Reduction suite includes specialized tools tailored to specific clinical needs. Bone-IQ.AI supports faster whole-body bone scans by enabling up to a 50% reduction in scan time while maintaining diagnostic quality and improving patient throughput. Thera-IQ.AI is designed specifically for Lu-177-based theranostics, optimizing post-treatment quantitative accuracy and improving lesion detectability through more uniform image quality across time points. MIBG-IQ.AI addresses pediatric I-123 MIBG imaging by enabling safer and faster exams, also with reduced scan times.

When paired with the VERITON-CT’s 360-degree cadmium zinc telluride (CZT) digital detector system, wide-bore gantry, and quantitation-ready workflows, Veritas.AI further enhances Spectrum Dynamics’ position as a leader in digital SPECT/CT imaging. The combined technologies support a wide spectrum of clinical and research use cases, including advanced theranostics and routine nuclear imaging.

“Receiving FDA clearance for Veritas.AI is a significant milestone for Spectrum Dynamics and for the nuclear medicine community,” said Tomer Gabay, Chief Executive Officer of Spectrum Dynamics Medical. “As innovation leaders, we are incredibly excited to bring this powerful AI innovation solution to our customers. Veritas.AI strengthens our commitment to precision imaging by delivering clearer images, greater clinical confidence, and more efficient workflows, while helping hospitals prepare for the rapid growth of theranostics and quantitative SPECT/CT.”

The clearance of Veritas.AI reaffirms Spectrum Dynamics’ ongoing investment in AI-driven innovation and reflects the company’s focus on setting new benchmarks for image clarity, diagnostic certainty, and clinical value in nuclear medicine.
